Mission and Vision

Our mission and vision are drawn from the Holy Bible and are the result of the continuation of the assignment Jesus Christ left to His Disciples. The following mission and vision statements are the summarised descriptions of the Revival Pentecostal Church QLD mission and vision respectively.

Our Mission

As Revival Pentecostal Church, our mission is to preach the good news to all nations, as Jesus recommended to His disciples. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age”. Matt. 28:19-20

The mission of the Revival Pentecostal Church is, in reality, a continuation of Christ’s earthly ministry John 14:12. Jesus viewed that redeeming men’s souls were His whole purpose for coming to the earth.  “For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost” Matt. 18:11.  And in turn,  we imparted this same objective to His disciples. He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men”  Matt. 4:19.

Later, Paul confirmed that the ministry of bringing people to God has been imparted to all those who have been brought to Him (the church). “God… has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ and has given us the Ministry of reconciliation” 2 Cor. 5:18. It is the purpose of every believer to bring souls to Jesus Christ.

It is our mission to mature believers and prepare them to perform works of ministry as Jesus gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.  “Ephesians. 4:11-12″

Another mission of our church is to strengthen the body of believers and equip them for works of ministry. The church should be an atmosphere of spiritual edification, where God’s word is taught, where believers are grounded and led toward maturity. This not only serves to anchor their faith in Christ but prepares them for service. According to God’s plan, each member of the body of Christ is called to serve in some aspect of ministry (Rom. 12:6 and 1 Cor. 12:14-31), especially as it pertains to bringing souls to Jesus Christ. 2 Cor. 5:17

Our Vision

Our vision is to ensure that the true word of God has ministered to all humankind throughout the world. This can be achieved by setting up missions in all corners of the world as Jesus recommended to His disciples and  He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. Mark 16:15-16

Our Vision also focuses on influencing our society with the ideals of the Lord and ensuring that the Kingdom of God interests in the world is well preserved. “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavour, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden”. Matt. 5:13-14

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,” Matthew 28:19

“but now has been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,” 2 Timothy 1:10

“For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”  Isaiah 9:6

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive his commendation from God. 1 Corinthians 4:5
