The Sound of Gospel Choir (Youth Choir) was formed in the middle of 2013 by Revival Pentecostal Church. We love to sing in different languages, listen as an ensemble, work together as a team, develop greater poise and discipline and build confidence.
As a Sound of Gospel Choir, our purpose is to glorify our God whilst spreading the Gospel among youths who desire to be closer to the Lord.
The objectives of the choir center on our theme verse:
“Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.” Eph.5:19-21
Songs and activities are planned and executed with the objective of best rendering God’s through songs, we faithfully carry out these activities to teach and edify the saints. While the choir seeks to serve the church, activities are also planned to ensure choristers are spiritually fed and prepared as ministers of God. Our mission is to bring different people from different nations to Jesus Christ.
Our main objectives as a choir are:
-
- Spiritual Growth
- Spreading the Word of God
- Youth Conferences
- Fundraising
As ministers of God’s Word through songs, all choristers must profess salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ. Aspiring choristers will need to be able to sing in tune and in a manner that is able to blend with other choristers. A simple audition will be held to ascertain this. Choristers will need to be prepared to commit themselves to weekly practices. There is no restriction with regards to age in the Youth Choir which is exclusively for unmarried people.
Other requirements are as follows:
- Must be baptized (baptism by immersion) and must be the Church member
- Understand what you are doing
- To comply with the Choir rules
- Willing to join the Choir
- Must have good behaviour/attitude
We would like to invite you to a regularly scheduled informative meeting to answer any questions you may have about potentially joining the Choir/music programs.
